Day 98 - Pancake Bay

Some mornings were harder than others to get up from a deep sleep. This was one of them. But I kicked myself out of bed and packed up Gidget again. I stopped at the restaurant and Vicki and Laura bought me breakfast. They were just as cheery and friendly as the night before. They work well together and provide some of the best service I've seen. Before I left Ady offered me some coffee and his wife gave me some water. I would need all the energy I could get today.

There were alot more hills today and it was more tiring. I was starting to feel a bit more isolated. I met a couple of cyclists. An OPP car stopped to ask me how I was doing.

It was really hot and the hills were slowing me down. I was looking forward to finishing today. I came up to a motel and asked for directions to a campground. It was just up the road. He gave me a pop and some water to take with me. I got to the parc entrance and met Shannon, he worked at the parc. He had seen me running earlier and asked me what I was doing. He met up with me again at the gate and both him and Megan at the desk were really helpful. I wasn't charged for staying at the campground. The mosquitos were really bad. I hurried to get setup and in my tent. I didn't escape without getting a few bites. I went over to the showers but there was a lineup so I decided to skip having a shower. Stayed in my tent away from the bugs. Today had been a bit more demanding and I was pretty tired and happy to be laying down. The worse was still to come. I fell asleep watching the mosquitos trying to get at me.
