I started from River St. and turned up Red River Rd. which turned into Highway 102. My destination was 27.5 miles to the community centre just on the other side of Sunshine. My sister Chris would pick me up there after work.
It was cooler today and just a few rolling hills. I made a pit stop at the Wildwood Variety Store and met Anne and Cindy. They were so friendly and supportive. I also passed a bit of construction and the workers just kinda look at me like I'm from another world or something. I guess running across the country without a support vehicle might seem a bit crazy. There wasn't much in Sunshine except a few houses. I got to the community centre but it was closed. I had just finished stretching and my sister pulled up. I was glad to see her. She brought me a drink and snack which was great cause I had run out of water. I was looking forward to spending the evening with my sister cause in a couple of days I would be out of range.
Today seemed anti-climatic compared to running to the Terry Fox Lookout. I was running through some stiffness from not having run for a couple of days. My new Etonic shoes were helping and I was happy about that.
Even animals need compassion and kindness!
