I got up later than usual. I had run 35 miles yesterday and needed the extra sleep. A couple of campers came over to talk to me before I left. They were really nice. I was on the road by 9am.
Once I reached Nicolet I stopped at the Information Centre and got information about campgrounds in the Pierreville area. The road to Baieville was rough going. Once I passed there I reached Pierreville. The campground was 5 or 6 km off the hwy. I started that way and stopped to ask directions. I met a retired school teacher, J.P., working outside in his yard with his dog Gambi. We chatted for awhile. He had a soft top camper in his yard and offered to let me stay in it for the night. I accepted. He made a pizza and we had some great conversations. He talked alot about his camping trips just him and his dog.
I fell asleep listening to some mellow Indian music he was playing that I could hear from the campertrailer.
Even animals need compassion and kindness!
