I was making good running time today and there was a bit more scenery to look at. I passed some construction. There's a long straight stretch of road getting into Sturgeon Falls that seems to go forever. Two maintenance men driving the railway track stopped and gave me two bottles of cold water. A little further a woman from Sturgeon Falls called Manon, stopped and gave me some gatorade and water. It was cold and tasted great in the heat.
I stopped at the Info Centre in Sturgeon Falls and met Julie & Julie. They were helpful and very supportive of what we were doing. Francine picked me up a few miles past Cache Bay. She had brought some nice cold water. She had made an appointment at her massage therapist for my feet. What a great cousin! The staff there was wonderful. Laura gave my feet and calves a great massage. She donated the fee for the animals. She had a dog herself. I thought that was so kind. After we left we stopped in at the Humane Society to say hello and meet the staff there. It was a good visit and they signed my flag.
We went to visit and have dinner with my Aunt May (Francine's Mom) at her residence. We even played a game of pool.
Even animals need compassion and kindness!
