Mike dropped me off at Blueberry Station on his way into town. I went 5 miles and came up to John & Susan's house where they were watching for me. They had heard the neighbors dogs bark and saw me coming. They snapped a couple of pictures and after a few hugs I kept going. A little further down the road I passed Mike & Rose's house. They had bought an old church and were converting it into a home. I would get a tour later tonight. About halfway to Espanola I met up with a young cyclist going east to Halifax. He's a musician travelling from B.C. and was playing in Sudbury next. I was sorry that the timing was off cause I would have loved to have heard him play. He signed my flag and off he went. When I got to Espanola I had some time before Rose would be finished work and picking me up so I made a few phone calls and walked through the Trading Post. I bought an ice cream and sat outside on the picnic tables. There was a family of 4 who shared their oranges with me. It had been a hot day and I was looking forward to a shower. After dinner Rose showed me the renovations they had done to their house. They had done alot of work. It started to pour rain. I was glad not to be in a tent tonight.
Even animals need compassion and kindness!
