It was starting to get much cooler now at night and I could smell winter coming in the morning air. There was even frost. I could see the dark skies a head of me and there was a strong head wind again today. I was just praying that there wasn't any rain in those clouds.
I went about ten miles and a camper truck stopped on the otherside of the highway going east and someone got out and shouted my name. It was Richard's Mom and Dad. Richard rollerbladed across Canada for cancer and they had driven the support vehicle for him and were on their way home. We crossed paths in the province of Quebec. I was happy they stopped but they were anxious to get home. Richard finished his trek last Saturday. Congratulations Richard!
It wasn't long and I ran into rain and it wasn't going to pass. I was wet and cold. I had my raingear on, some gloves but that didn't stop the chills. There was still a few miles to go to Indian Head and a wonderful person by the name of Penny rescued me out of the rain and brought me to the motel. I was grateful for that. I turned the heat on in my room but had to take a cool shower because of my poison oak. It was sooo itchy. I took more benadryl and covered myself in cream. I didn't sleep well that night.
Even animals need compassion and kindness!
