Day 94 - Bruce Mines

I was glad to be up and on the road. I ran past Marian's house around 8:15am and she was outside with her dog Willow. She waved and Willow barked. She said 'hope to see you again'.

It was another hot day. There were clouds but they seemed to pass to the south or the north around me. Today started out pretty quiet but then I ran into some cyclists. The first two were Mark & Cindy going west to east. Then two more from the States, Wendy & Barry. Then two more cyclists passed me going east to west and they just waved.

A bit later I used my safety whistle to scare a deer off the hwy back into the woods. I stopped in Thessalon to ice my feet and change my shoes. I stopped at the Bruce Mines campground and met some wonderful campers Kay & Lorne, Ray & Beth. I setup my tent near their camp. They invited me for dinner and tea and some great conversation. Kay showed me her 'Coffees On' sign and if it was in the window tomorrow morning when I got up I could come over for coffee before I left.

While I was putting up my tent I met Kelly & Andrea as well, they were the two cyclists that had passed me on the hwy and had stopped to camp here as well. This was their first trip and they were heading for B.C.
