Day 93 - Iron Bridge

It took me awhile to get up. I iced and massaged my feet before I did anything. Then i went over to Timmy's and grabbed a coffee. It was going to be a warm day and the sun felt great.

I packed up Gidget and took a deep breath of fresh air. Once I ran a couple of miles my feet felt OK. I reached a rest stop and changed my shoes and socks. It was a beautiful area beside the water. There was a bit more scenery today that made time go by a bit faster today.

I got to Iron Bridge and stopped a few km further at the Del Mar campground and met Marian and her daughter Peggy who ran the camp. Marian only charged me $5 to camp and Peggy bought me a milk shake. There was noone else camping and they go home at night, they live up the road a bit. They told me about a black bear that likes to visit their garbage bin at night and suggested I leave Gidget and any food in the laundry room. I put up my tent near the laundry/shower room. After they left it was kind of eerie being the only one there. It was starting to get dark and I was settled in. There was a phone on a post between the office and where I was. It was about 100 yards away. I looked around to see if the bear was around and couldn't see him. I decided not to make a dash for the phone just in case. I didn't make any phone calls and stayed in my tent. Just after dark a camper pulled up and i watched them setup for about a half hour. It took me awhile before I fell asleep.
