Day 122 - Raith

Chris had to drop me off before work so it was an early morning. It was still dark. We stopped at Tim Horton's for a coffee on our way back out. By the time we reached the community centre it was light out but cool. She wouldn't beable to pick me up until after work.

I went about seven miles and stopped at the restaurant in Shabaqua. I phoned my younger sister Angel in Montreal and found out my Mom's older sister had died so I gave my Mom a call. She was OK but she also had a brother who's recovering from heart surgery and another sister with cancer, who I visited at the Tamarack House in Thunder Bay. It was a difficult time for them. It reminded me how precious life is.

I also met a cyclist at the restaurant having breakfast. He was going east. We had a good chat. There were more hills today and I was running into the winds. Once again I was happy to see my sister arrive in Raith. Again she brought me a drink and snack. Tonight would be the last night I would be able to stay with her. I tried not to think about that.
