Day 127 - Cobblestone Lodge

A mental health day was just what I needed. I made several phone calls, rested and did a lot of thinking. Everything looked better today.

I had a plan and reaching Dryden didn't seem as difficult. The mental challenge was more difficult than the physical challenge though. I tried to keep my thoughts positive and not pay too much attention to the stretches of nothing. Today I went as far as Cobblestone Lodge (hunting & fishing). It was a couple of km off the highway but a good place to stop for the night. When I came up to it there were four hunters waiting for their ride. They read my t-shirt and just looked at me. I chatted with them for a bit and they were friendly. I went inside and registered. I put my tent up and took a shower. Most of the fishermen and hunters would be back later. They all stayed in the lodge. I was in an area by myself. It was pretty quiet and lots of mosquitos. An older couple and their dog pulled up in an RV a bit later. I chatted with them briefly and then settled into my tent for the night. I couldn't wait to get going in the morning.
