I was dropped off at Clarence Creek in the morning. All I had was a small back pak for water and a few items and it felt great to run without having to push something.
On my way a reporter from Rockland spotted me (my flag) and stopped to interview me. After that I was on my way and was making great time I thought. I passed Rockland and then Cumberland and was starting to get excited. Home was not too far off. Soon I would be home.
About three km before the Trim rd intersection, my good friend Sharron pulled up to greet me and take some pictures. She would meet up with me again at the Cumberland Veterinary Hospital just ahead on Trim Rd. When I reached their entrance both K.P. and Sharron were waiting and the hospital staff. After some introductions, including a kitten, we chatted for a bit and they signed my flag. The next stop was home and a couple days of rest. I had 3000 km behind me but still had 7000 km more to go.
Even animals need compassion and kindness!
