Day 168 - Medicine Hat

The landscaping to Medecine Hat was much the same, rolling hills and miles and miles of fields. Its kinda cool that you can see for miles around. I checked into the Satelite Motel. I got directions to the SPCA. It wasn't far from the motel. I met Sheri and Val. They were nice and Val gave me a tour of the shelter. I had called the Medecine Hat newspaper earlier and they sent a reporter over. That was great.

When I got back to my room I called Tracey who lives in Lethbridge. Her and her Mom, Barb, volunteer at the Lethbridge Humane Society. She had given me her phone number before I left in April and told me to call her when I reached Alberta and she might beable to run with me. I was hoping she was still interested. After I spoke with both Tracey and her Mom I was so excited because not only was she still interested but she was going to run all the way to Suffield with me and her Mom and a friend of theirs, Laney who also works at the Humane Society, was going to be our support vehicle for the run. And not only that they invited me back to Lethbridge with them for the night and they would drive me back. I couldn't believe it and I couldn't wait to meet them. I was really looking forward to tomorrow and having someone to run with.
